Working from home or somewhere that feels like home?
If we have learned one thing from the Corona pandemic, it is that we can work from home en masse. The question is, does working from home really have to be done from home?
The answer is usually ‘No’ but…. Let’s fill in those ifs and buts for you now
- Yes we have excellent internet;
- Yes, we have various workplaces (if there is no desk in the room and you prefer this, we will place one for you);
- An undisturbed online meeting? We arrange a quiet workplace;
- Power failure? Our Wi-Fi still works and we have a generator;
- Do you want to prepare a meal? You can do that in the kitchen of the Guest House or use one of the braai areas;
- Do your laundry? We provide a laundry service for R100 a bag;
- And yes…..we have Airco!
Where?
Our Guesthouse is located in ‘Rural’ area in Gordon’s Bay, the small little secret of Cape Town and only half an hour from CT Airport. It’s a very quiet location and yet close to everything to go out in your time off. And your lunch break? You will of course spend it by the pool or in the garden….
The prices
We have special rates for guests who come for a minimum of one month. To keep it affordable for you, we can lower the price by cleaning once a week instead of every day. Extra cleaning can always be arranged at an extra fee.
Daan & Martine
What is it like to work here? Read below the story of Daan & Martine who worked for a month from Wind-Rose guest house.
Working from South Africa. Of course it sounds great… and it is! Two things are important to be able to perform our work properly: a good WiFi connection and good workplaces. The Wind-Rose guesthouse has both! There are several workplaces in and around the guesthouse where you can work. In addition, there is also a desk in your room and adjustments are also possible in consultation. Just like the WiFi network by the way! Peter can configure the network as desired, so that there is enough bandwidth for Teams meetings, for example.
The communal kitchen is fully equipped, but if you prefer to eat out there are several options in Gordon’s bay and Somerset. And in the Guest-house there are even 3 braai places if you really want to do it the South African way. It is important that you have a car at your disposal; the distances to restaurants or supermarket are just too far to walk. We have a very nice stay here because of the very friendly and thoughtful owners, and the sun that shines every day is not a punishment either! This makes working fun!
