What exactly are the Corona restrictions in South Africa or do I have to be tested when I fly to South Africa? We see these questions daily in Facebook groups or are asked by our guests before booking. Therefore, everything is listed below.
PCR test when you fly to South Africa yes or no?
The answer is yes! Passengers aged 5 years and over traveling to South Africa must have a negative PCR test result, recognized by the World Health Organization, obtained within 72 hours of departure from the date of the examination.
In addition, you must complete a form. If you do this in advance, you will clear customs faster.

Do I have to retest if I am taking a domestic flight in South Africa?
The answer is no. A PCR test is not requested on a domestic flight.
What are the Corona rules in South Africa?
We are currently at level 1 for the Corona measures. Face masks are still mandatory in public areas or outside where it is not possible to keep 1,5 meters away. There is a curfew from 12 midnight to 4 am. You are not allowed on the street during curfew unless you have a good reason to do so. If you arrive on the late flight, you can simply travel to your accommodation. Restaurants must close at 11pm to give staff time to travel home before curfew.
What are the cancellation conditions related to Corona?
Everyone is now aware that booking with Corona entails risks. You can cancel with us free of charge up to one month before arrival. If the rules are tightened to such an extent that travel is not allowed, you can always postpone the booking.
