About Us
Wind-Rose Guest House is close to Cape Town and Stellenbosch
Our hidden gem is centrally located in rural area at only 35 minutes from Cape Town airport. Close enough to enjoy everything that Cape Town – the ‘Mother City’ – has to offer but a tranquil escape from the hustle and bustle of City life.
Hermanus and Stellenbosch are just around the corner on less than an hour drive. Want to see the penguins? Go to Betty’s bay and take the stunning route over Clarence drive. Want to do some wine tasting? Do the four-pass route.
And last but certainly not least. We have the most beautiful sunsets in our Gorgeous Bay. Every day a new painting…..
Our Standard rooms
These two rooms on the first floor are at the back side. They have a small balcony and you overlook the mountains and the parking area.

These Deluxe rooms, with a large balcony on the first floor, offer magnificent far ocean view with spectacular sunsets over False Bay.

These large spacious rooms are fully stocked with a king size bed and sleeper couch and can also easily accommodate a small family.

This beautiful suite with best view on the garden, mountains & ocean is on the 1st floor and offers all the luxury to feel home away from home.

We were guests at the Windrose Guesthouse at the end of September. The location of the guesthouse is beautiful, quiet and you are in relaxing nature. The garden area means that you can completely relax and there is a quiet place in every nook and cranny. The rooms were cleaned very neatly every day. We found our room to be very comfortable and very large. We had a very large, comfortable bed and a living room corner with a couch, an armchair and a television. We were able to end our evenings beautifully here. The rooms also have a large balcony with seating. The staff was always very friendly, as were the hosts, who gave us a very warm welcome. Breakfast is a small buffet that has something to offer for every taste. The eggs and bacon are always freshly prepared for each guest, which is to die for. The Windrose Guesthouse is located just outside, which means you can easily reach Cape Town by car as well as explore the breathtaking landscape of South Africa. There are many wineries nearby, which are always worth a visit. We never had to travel far for dinner as there were plenty of restaurants around. We will definitely come back and enjoy Manu and Harry’s hospitality and the beautiful ambience again.
Amazing price for money. Super clean. The perfect location to access any suburb or any activity. The area is very quiet for the perfect get away. Spectacular view and uniquely decorated apartment. Helpful host in all aspects and reachable at anytime.
I can only recommend it to everyone. Great service and very friendly owners. From Italy to Cape Town and from there to the best location. Easy to get to and very quiet. Top garden and very nice swimming pool. If you are with family it is ideal as everything is there. And everything can be reached within 1 hour. Cap of Good Hope, Aquila private reserves and Ceres as well as Tulbagh, Stellenbosch ect.
We had a wonderful week at the Wind Rose Guesthouse. The complex is very attractively laid out and it is easy to relax here and relax by the pool. The hosts Manuela and Harald always strive to do justice to their guests. The breakfast is very tasty and is rounded off with a fruit plate. There are interesting activities nearby such as Blue Rock and a national park. Gordons Bay with its restaurants and bars can be reached in a few minutes by car. We will come back in any case.
Rooms: Our room was very spacious and we could enjoy a great view from our large furnished balcony. Our room also had a seating area with a TV.
