Hiking Trails

Cannon & Wagon-wheel tracks
Historic trail starting opposite the Steenbras Dam entrance on Sir Lowry's Pass. Permit needed. Easy walk for 20 min.

Danie Miller Hiking Trail (No permit)
The trail starts at the top of Aurora Drive and ends just past the Gordon's Bay anchor sign. Seven kilometres to the end and back.

Steenbras River Valley Trail
Five kilometres from Gordon's Bay on the coastal road. For a permit, tel 400 3269.

Sir Lowry's Pass
The pass over the Hottentots Holland Mountains leading to the Overberg gives superb views from the Cape Flats to Cape Point.
